“Al-Targheeb wa’l Tarheeb is the urdu translation of authentic ahadith that are selected from different source books of ahadith on different subjects, like good deeds that bring varying degrees of reward, and evil deeds/wrongs that call for retribution (Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil).
The Ahadith are narrated only to give glad tidings and to warn – to create awareness and to admonish, so that one may be encouraged to do good deeds and refrain from evil deeds.
Shaykh Imam al-Hafiz Zakiuddin Abdul Azeem al-Mundhiri (Munziri), was originally from Syria and born in the month of Sha’ban, 581 Hijri. He was a renowned researcher (muhaqqiq) and a well known scholar according to Shafi’i school of thought, and a Master in Hadith, Arabic language and history.”
