Allama Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah was a glorious Lord of the worlds. He has authored innumerable books. Those who exaggerate in the matter of imitation and analogy, have refuted them in detail and have presented twenty arguments on each issue. It should be followed and not the sayings of rijal. It has also clarified the mistake of those who think that some ahaadeeth are contrary to speculation. May God bless this great service of the Holy Writer and Translator with honorable acceptance and may He bless the people of Islam with the success of acquiring grace from it.

About The Author

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah was born into a scholarly and virtuous family in 691 AH/ 1292 A.D. At that time Damascus was a centre of literature and thought. Many schools were located there and he studied and graduated under the protection, direction and sponsorship of his father. He was particularly influenced by his Shaykh and teacher Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, and also by Ibn ash-Shirazi amongst others.
