Shaykh-ul-Islam Allama Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: There is the issue of the adhan after sitting on the pulpit of the Imam for Jumu’ah, in which it is proved that in the time of the Holy Prophet, only one adhan was given for Jumu’ah and that was only when he came and sat on the pulpit for the sermon. And this was the custom in the time of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq and Hazrat Umar.
